The Recovery Rosary & 12 Step Spirituality DVD Series

The Recovery Rosary & 12 Step Spirituality DVD Series

Please join us on 3rd Saturdays at Noon in December, January & February at the Magnificat House, 1705 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh PA 15210, to pray a rosary for recovery then view a 30 minute video on 12 step spirituality. The Recovery Rosary & 12 Step Spirituality DVD Series .

“The Recovery Rosary: Reflections for Alcoholics and Addicts” takes a time- honored prayer and brings it into a useful format for people to pause and reflect on their recovery, their relationships with others, and ultimately with Jesus Himself. Whether people are still struggling with their addictions, or have been clean and sober for a few weeks or months, or many years, the reflections for each Mystery of the Rosary will help them meditate on the spiritual growth they have achieved so far. Over the years, their thoughts on each meditation may change, depending on “where they’re at” in their recovery journey.

Following the rosary we'll watch a 30 minute DVD from an important series (as seen on EWTN) by Fr. Cedric Pesagna.

Fr. Cedric explains the 12 Step program and how it can help a person come to sobriety and find God.

December:
There is a Solution: Bill Wilson & Dr. Bob Smith were the cofounders of the 12 Step program and Alcoholic's Anonymous (AA). Through this program of divine assistance and abstinence from alcohol, they provide a solution that can bring anyone to sobriety.

January:
All Things Work to Good: Many people who admit they are addicted to various substances ironically find God through their addiction! Most end up joining a Church and becoming involved. Changed lives, embracing spirituality and reaching out to help others are dramatic examples of how God makes all things work to good.

February:
Step by Step: There are 12 Steps in the recovery program. Each step is vitally important and must be repeated over and over again for a person to remain sober. As a person "works the steps" they will discover lasting freedom and growth. Sobriety comes one step at a time, one day at a time.
